Event Details
For the launch of her self-titled debut album, Fyore celebrates the rich and contemporary Afro-Quebec identity – with a powerful blend of Afrohouse, R&B, electro, and pop, also incorporating traditional influences. In keeping with the album’s vision, the evening will exclusively showcase Afro-Quebec artists, celebrating the diverse backgrounds, heritages, and artistic expressions that make up the Black diaspora here. Performing with a full band, Fyore will be joined on stage by several surprise guests, with Togolese-Quebec singer-songwriter Komedza opening the show.
Born in Kpalimé, Togo, Komedza grew up between Cambodia and Quebec: a multicultural journey that shaped his musical sensibility, nourished by West African rhythms and a strong connection to the French language. His approach is based on an intimate exploration of emotion – and, on stage, accompanied by bass and drums, he transforms this intimacy into collective energy, blending sensitive lyrics with catchy rhythms. More than just a show, he creates a moment of sharing and exchange with the audience, inviting them to feel as much as to be moved.
