Atmosphere has announced the 2027 edition of The Winter Carnival Tour. The 18-date run opens in Green Bay, WI on January 14 and ends with a hometown show in Minneapolis on February 7. The fan presale ends on September 24, at 10 p.m. local time. General tickets go on sale Friday, September 25, at 10 a.m. local time.
Joining Atmosphere on the tour are some of the most notable figures in independent Hip-Hop, namely Souls of Mischief, Mac Lethal and Blueprint.
Best known for the 1993 classic “93 ’til Infinity”, Oakland’s Souls of Mischief is currently preparing a new studio album. Mac Lethal, a former battle rapper from Kansas City, released Winter Heartbreak II in 2021 and has toured with Atmosphere previously. As for Blueprint, the Columbus rapper-producer has a couple of noteworthy releases under his belt, including 2024’s Falling Down EP and the self-produced album Vessel, which dropped in July 2025.
Atmosphere is a Minneapolis Hip-Hop duo made up of rapper Slug (Sean Daley) and producer Ant (Anthony Davis). The group’s primary lyricist, Slug, is known for confessional storytelling and dry humor about life, love, and stress. Ant, for his part, is steeped in classic Hip-Hop production, blending Soul, Funk, Rock and Reggae into a heady brew of sonic textures.
A pillar of independent Rap, Atmosphere is one of the flagship acts of Rhymesayers Entertainment. Altogether, the duo has more than 30 years of releases spanning over two dozen albums, EPs and side projects.
Slug and Ant head into the tour on the strength of their latest album, Jestures, released in September 2025. The 26-song record moves through the alphabet, with one track for each letter from A to Z. Guests include Evidence, Kurious, Musab, Muja Messiah and Mike the Martyr.
Slug says the concept grew out of the duo’s enjoyment of making the album: “We were having fun.” Released by Rhymesayers, it is the duo’s fifth release of the 2020s.
The tour starts in the Midwest with stops in Green Bay, Madison, Des Moines, and Omaha from January 14 to 17. It then crosses the Rockies to Fort Collins and Grand Junction, Colorado, on January 19 and 20.
Next comes the Northwest. Atmosphere plays Boise on January 22, Bozeman on January 23, Spokane on January 24, Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom on January 26, and Eugene on January 28.
On January 29, Atmosphere plays The Grand Theatre at Grand Sierra Resort & Casino in Reno without Souls of Mischief. The full lineup returns for Park City, UT, on January 30 and Tucson, AZ, on February 1.
The tour finishes with four Midwest shows in five days. Kansas City comes first on February 4, a homecoming of sorts for Mac Lethal. Joliet and Rockford, Illinois, follow on February 5 and 6, and the run ends at Minneapolis’ First Avenue on February 7.
