Roc Nation‘s Jay Electronica has social media buzzing after a puzzling demand at this holiday weekend’s Made In America music festival in Philadelphia.
Footage has surfaced of Jay Elect Saturday (September 3) asking fans to help collapse his performance stage.
Some reports claim an incident with another hip-hop artist sparked Electronica’s head-scratching demand.
Fans at the Budweiser Made in America Festival tell Philly.com that hip hop artist Jay Electronica was performing Saturday evening when Philadelphia rapper Lil Uzi Vert walked by the stage, attracting attention. They say Electronica then began calling for people to join him on stage. The performance was temporarily interrupted when security guards could not make the crowd leave and police arrived. (NBC 10)
In April, Electronica publicly apologized to rapper Kendrick Lamar for dissing him during a Periscope session.
Back in February, Jay Elect lashed out at K. Dot on social media.
“Put some Kendrick on? Nah, f*ck that, f*ck that. F*ck that. Look, I like the one Kendrick song with Gunplay, ‘Cartoons & Cereal,’ but other than that? We don’t know what that n*gga’s talking about. … We don’t know what these lames are talking about. … You can’t say ‘F*ck Kendrick,’ that’s still our brother.
