Kota the Friend To See a Sunset Deluxe

Kota the Friend’s highly anticipated extended version of his collaborative album with Statik Selektah, To See a Sunset (Deluxe), reached all streaming services last night. The new version boasts 8 fresh tracks, each featuring a guest verse from various talented artists.

The original 10 songs on To See a Sunset already showcased Kota and Statik’s undeniable chemistry, but the addition of these new features takes the album to a whole new level.

To See a Sunset (Deluxe)

To See a Sunset (Deluxe) is a must-listen with Statik Selektah’s top-tier production and the impressive lineup of guest artists. Ultimately elevating Kota the Friend’s already-impressive body of work.

Brick By Brick, featuring Blu, is a standout track, with both emcees offering indelible bars over a jazzy, soulful beat. The lyrics are expectedly introspective and contemplative, touching on themes of self-reflection, perseverance, and the journey toward success. Kota released an accompanying music video to pair with this vibrant track.

Another clear highlight is New Money featuring Dreamville lyricist Cozz. Cozz’s dynamic mic presence and charismatic flow are a perfect match for the Statik Selektah-produced beat. His impressive lyrical ability shines throughout the track. Kota and Cozz trade bars effortlessly, with each verse building off the other. The final product is a cohesive and powerful message about striving for success and chasing one’s dreams. The chemistry between the two emcees is undeniable, and their collaboration on New Money is a highlight of the album, showcasing the best of both artists’ abilities.

Real Ones Remix, featuring Louie Tha Profit, Nachaash G & Michael Minelli, is another highlight, with the guest features coming from a verse contest that Kota ran through social media. Minelli’s vocal hook and the dope verses from both rappers elevate the most recognizable joint from the original.

With fire tracks featuring HannahGotRaps, CJfFly, Shane Eagle, Conchez, and Terminology, there is so much gold to be found on this Deluxe Album.
