Mac Miller Returns With Help From Anderson .Paak On ÔÇÿDang!ÔÇÖ

Mac Miller hasn’t been gone for a year. The one-year celebration party for GO:OD AM isn’t happening for another couple months. Invites are still being printed up as we speak. Still, in rap time, it feels like Mac has been away on an extended leave of absence. The sheer amount of music every single month clouds releases like Mac’s last album. But the Pittsburgh native is ready to start on his next album campaign beginning with the Anderson .Paak-featured “Dang!”

For all of 2016, .Paak continues to prove how adaptable he is and displays chemistry with pretty much everyone he works with. “Dang!” sounds like a record that could live on GO:OD AM. It’s got an easy-going vibe to it. The concept follows the ups and downs of a relationship where Mac is coming to the realization that the downs are not worth losing her over.

Mac’s next album is titled The Divine Feminine and it comes out in September. He revealed on Beats1 radio, who premiered this single, that Kendrick Lamar and Cee-Lo Green will also have guest features. “It’s an album that’s all about the journey of love,” Mac explains. When he first began, the project was merely going to be an EP, but as he got deeper and deeper he decided to turn it into an album.
