Fox’s “The Simpsons” animated cartoon will flex its love for hip-hop in the series’ first-ever hour long episode next year.
According to reports, the iconic cartoon will feature “Empire” actress Taraji P. Henson and comedian Keegan-Michael Key in a January 2017 hip-hop-themed airing.
The Simpsons will hit an impressive milestone this fall ÔÇö 600 episodes ÔÇö and this winter theyÔÇÖll reach another big number: the 60-minute mark. The animated Fox comedy will offer up an hourlong episode (including commercial time) that is a hip-hop homage to The Great Gatsby and features such guest voices as Taraji P. Henson and Keegan-Michael Key, the network announced at the TCA Summer Press Tour on Monday. (Entertainment Weekly)

Last year, producer Pharrell Williams made headlines after appearing in “The Simpsons.”
Back in 2005, G-Unit leader 50 Cent made a “Simpsons” cameo.
