Taraji P. Henson has been a lot of things in the two years that Cookie Lyon has reigned supreme on Empire. Mother, wife, landlord of “Broke-Ass Studio,” and a certified G. Now she can add “animated character” to the list, as she’ll be joining Key & Peele‘s Keegan-Michael Key┬áin┬átaking their┬átalents to Springfield for The Simpsons‘ 28th — yes 28th — season.

Henson will guest star on an hour-long episode satirizing hip-hop and The Great Gatsby with an episode entitled, “The Great Phatsby.” The episode focuses on a beef between Monty Burns’ old-school millionaire views and Jay G’s new-school perspective. Henson will, of course, voice a Cookie-type character named Praline, which just so happens to be a type of cookie. There’s a good bet no matter how similar this character is to Cookie, she won’t be showing her animated cheeks to Marge or any of the women in Springfield to show them what a real booty looks like.

ÔÇ£She plays a Simpsons version of Cookie,ÔÇØ says Simpsons show runner Matt Selman. ÔÇ£She teams up with Burns and Homer and Bart and our all-star team of rappers to help get revenge on Jay G.ÔÇØ
