Odd Future leader Tyler, the Creator has penned an incredibly heartfelt open letter to hip-hop veteran Pharrell Williams this week.

In honor of Pharrell’s In My Mind 10-year-anniversary, Tyler inked a note Monday (July 25) about the solo album’s impact on him.

Back in April, Tyler made headlines for racing rap star Kanye West at the Coachella Music Festival.

Kanye West and Tyler, The Creator squared off in foot race battle of epic proportions last night at Coachella. It was a close one up until a spectator and got in the way of things, which ultimately led to Tyler taking home that dub for them Odd Future boyz. Last year, the West Coast rapper caught heat by getting banned from performing in England.

“What about the people who will make music in the next five years? Are they gonna get banned? Why donÔÇÖt they ban authors? Writers who write these mystery books about people getting raped and sabotaged and murdered and brainwashed ÔÇô why donÔÇÖt they ban them? There are rallies of neo-Nazis in parts of England. And then youÔÇÖre telling me I canÔÇÖt come there because of some bullsh*t song, but you got motherf*ckers with swastikas rallying down the street actually promoting hate?” (The Guardian)

In August 2015, Tyler announced his UK ban on social media.
