We The Best CEO DJ Khaled has penned an epic must-read motivational letter to fans about overcoming challenges and how much his latest solo album release, Major Key, means to him.
Khaled went to Facebook Tuesday (August 2) and released his emotional note.
Based on early estimates, Khaled’s latest compilation album should sell at least 45,000 copies in its opening week and possibly knock rap pal Drake’s Views from the top spot.
Various high-profile artists have promoted Khaled’s new release on social media.
According to reports, Drake’s new solo offering debuted atop the sales chart this week.
DrakeÔÇÖs Views stays put at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for a 12th nonconsecutive week, earning another 85,000 equivalent album units (down 5 percent) in the week ending July 28, according to Nielsen Music. Views has the most weeks at No. 1 for an album by an artist (as opposed to a soundtrack) since AdeleÔÇÖs 21 ruled for 24 weeks in 2011 and 2012. The last male artist to spend more than 12 weeks at No. 1 was Billy Ray Cyrus, with his Some Gave All album (17 weeks) back in 1992. (Billboard)
