Now that weÔÇÖre less than 4 months away from general elections, the matter of who the Presidential candidates will be choosing as their running mates has become a prevalent issue. This week, we learned that Donald Trump will be first at bat, and that the controversial Republican candidate would be choosing his vice president on Friday morning. However, reports have already begun to leak out about who it will be.
According to The New York Times, TrumpÔÇÖs campaign has ÔÇÿsignaledÔÇÖ that it will be going with Indiana governor Mike Pence as the #2 on TrumpÔÇÖs presidential ticket. Pence has been associated with Trump as early as this week, when he introduced the Republican candidate at a campaign rally in his home state of Indiana.
Other finalists to be TrumpÔÇÖs VP have reportedly included New Jersey governor Chris Christie and former House speaker Newt Gringrich, but it appears that the former Apprentice host has found his guy. Why Pence, exactly? That remains to be seen, especially considering Pence would likely have an issue with one of TrumpÔÇÖs core directives.
WeÔÇÖll know tomorrow how accurate the Times report is tomorrow at 11 a.m., when Trump is scheduled to make his announcement.
