On the heels of replanting his feet in the gameÔÇöafter separating from his former imprint, Funk VolumeÔÇöwith the optics for “Slow Motion 2 Intro,” Jarren Benton delivers another head-turning single before the release of his forthcoming project Slow Motion Vol. 2 this Friday July 2. Today, along with the help of Just Blaze’s artist OnCue and Dungeon Family’s Big Rube, Jarren Benton unloads an unrelenting, introspective single titled “Scared.” The billowing, anthemic track paints a picture of Jarren being trapped inside his own head as he touches on a range of topics from having the strength to stand for what he believes in, to his relationship with his mother and father, to impeding thoughts of what failure could bring, and much more. Benton’s new project, Slow Motion Vol. 2, arrives this Friday, July 15th, and will come with offerings from the likes of Kato on the Track, M16, Justin Padron, RocNMayne, J.U.S.T.I.C.E League, and Statik Selektah, among others.
