Ed Hartwell has finally broken his silence regarding the surprise divorce papers he dropped on his wife, Keshia Knight Pulliam. According to the former NFL player, Rudy from The Cosby Show wanted a baby shortly after they tied the knot, but he wanted to wait. 
Reports Page Six:
Hartwell, who married ÔÇ£Cosby ShowÔÇØ star Knight Pulliam, 37, on January 1 after dating for four months, said that they stopped having sex once the romance soured ÔÇö but claims she was so fixated on getting pregnant he suspects she went behind his back to do it.
He told us that after they wed, ÔÇ£she wanted a baby really fast, and what I was trying to explain to her was that ÔÇö from my beliefs, from seeing other successful people ÔÇö that when you first get married, especially since we didnÔÇÖt have a long courtship, that we should actually focus on each other and not just have a baby. ThatÔÇÖs something she really did want to do.ÔÇØ
Hartwell added that in February he ÔÇ£had a sit-downÔÇØ with his wife, who became the youngest-ever winner of an Emmy award for her role as Rudy Huxtable on the once-beloved NBC show.
ÔÇ£I said, ÔÇÿI think we probably messed up. I think we moved too fast,’ÔÇØ he told us, ÔÇ£ÔÇÿOur lives and wants are headed two different directions.’ÔÇØ
During the heart-to-heart Hartwell confessed that his ex, whom he dated for four years, had ÔÇ£lost a babyÔÇØ and it made him realize he still ÔÇ£cared about her.ÔÇØ┬áKnight Pulliam was so upset after HartwellÔÇÖs admission that┬áshe virtually disappeared from his life.
