Dreamville Festival

J.Cole and Dreamville are set for another historic Dreamville Festival in Raleigh, NC this weekend. The label have announced corresponding events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.

Partnering with the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources and Amazon Music, the label will host several notable speakers.  The event will take place at the Contemporary Art Museum of Raleigh this Friday, March 31st.

Aptly titled 50 and Forever, the event will host panel discussions from legendary producers Timbaland and 9th Wonder.  With additional presentations from Dreamville artists Ari Lennox and Bas50 and Forever will include a DJ and producing courses. As well as a beat battle featuring producers Nottz, Bink!, Khrysis, and D.R.U.G.S

Tickets for Dreamville Festival are not required to attend 50 and Forever, which will be a free event, and open to the public.

The event will serve as an appetizer for one of the most vivacious hip-hop festival lineups ever assembled.  This weekend, Dorothea Dix Park will play host to a stacked roster. Including J.Cole, Drake, Usher, J.I.D, Burna Boy, Reuben Vincent, and more.

As it did last year, the festival will be streamed via Twitch through Amazon Music’s channel.  “Dreamville Festival has made itself one of the biggest hip hop moments of the year. And after last year’s incredible performances, we at Rotation knew we needed to stream the festival for fans around the world a second year running,” Tim Hinshaw, head of hip-hop and R&B for Amazon Music stated.

The festival’s official streaming hosts will be Rob Markman from Rotation Roundtable, Gia Peppers from R&B Rotation, and Quality Control Music’s EVP of A&R Wayno.  Expect another loaded festival experience this weekend for Dreamville. Tickets are sold out, so streaming is the best option for fans looking to tap in.
