Michael Jordan’s philanthropy keeps getting more surprising.

The Bulls legend recently broke his notorious silence on black issues by speaking out on police brutality against black men. His speech came with a $1 million donation to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Killer Mike, seeking to capitalize on Jordan’s newfound activism, encouraged Jordan to take it a step further and donate his Olympic shoe sales to a black-owned bank. The jury’s still out on that request, but Jordan is back in the news for another donation he made on Monday.

The NBA legend made headlines for giving $5 million to the African-American Museum of History and Culture that’s being built in D.C., per a report by the Washington Post. Additionally, he’s also donating the jersey he wore during the 1996 NBA Finals, which is the same year the Bulls set the previous NBA record for most games won in an NBA season (72).

As a reward for his donation, a portion of the museum will be named the “Michael Jordan Hall.” That space will also house “artifacts associated with 17 ‘game-changing’ athletes, including tennis player Althea Gibson and track-and-field great Jesse Owens. Jordan is among those spotlighted.”

MJ is a man that, inexplicably, keeps on giving.
