Though Nike holds the sports apparel throne, and likely will for the foreseeable future, there’s something to be said about Under Armour’s come up. They were out-bid (by Nike) for Kevin Durant in 2014, but they struck gold with Stephen Curry‘s ascent, and have added several other prominent athletes to their roster. They’re now being mentioned in the same breath as adidas and The Swoosh, which is a sizable feat in itself.

However, every big brand has a misstep here and there, and UA might’ve just run into a major blunder. The popular brand recently unveiled its logo for a young athlete they’re very excited about, 2015 lottery pick and current Denver Nuggets point guard Emmanuel Mudiay, and social media isn’t happy with how it came out. It’s a clever flip, honestly, as the graphic designers’ intent was clearly to use the shape of the letter “E” to also satisfy the shape for the letter “M” simply by rotating it. However, the manner in which they did that left the logo looking rather…Swastika-ish. See for yourself.

You can see where somebody might take issue with this. According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, this logo isn’t official, but UA has applied for its trademark. Hopefully, they catch wind of the negative feedback–and address it–before it gets officially circulated.
