Michael Jordan was known to be an early riser to get in his workouts. In honor of this, Jordan Brand has launched The Breakfast Club; digital training regimens and apparel to get you right for next season, early.
Jordan Brand breaks down the legend:
In 1989, Michael Jordan encountered something he never had before: a metaphorical wall he couldnÔÇÖt breakthrough. A wall he had to breach in order to achieve his championship dreams. ÔÇ£The physicality of the game was changing,ÔÇØ said Michael Jordan. ÔÇ£The league was allowing defenders to be a lot more physical with the ball handler and I knew that I had to find a way to get stronger and be able to deal with the beating.ÔÇØ His strategy entailed pre-practice and┬áone-on-one workouts with his trainer, focused on strength training and weights. Motivated by JordanÔÇÖs commitment, his teammates began to join┬áin the extracurricular sessions, which often started as early as 7am. Jordan would famously arrive to the gym, with a wry smile and cup of coffee in hand. Aptly the gathering soon became known as the ÔÇ£Breakfast Club. ÔÇØ
Six NBA championships later and flash forward to day and we have the Jordan Breakfast Club Training experience. It’s a 30-day program that was created by Alex Molden, a Jordan Master Trainer, and its aim is to help┬ákids improve their speed, strength and quickness in the off-season.
After subscribing at Jordan.com/training  participants will be introduced to drills and techniques demonstrated via Jordan Brand athletes like Dez Bryant, Erik Kynard, and Jalen Ramsey. The training sessions will be delivered right to you and beginning Sept. 9 (pre-registration has already started). There will also be live experiences in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Toronto.
