Drake brings out Derrick Rose at MSG

Drake’s two night stint at Madison Square Garden culminated last night with a special guest that makes this Chicagoan feel both happy and sad at the same time.

In fact, after he shouted out Rose in Night 1 (after dissing Hot 97, below), Drake actually brought out the new Knickerbocker, who was accompanied by his son PJ. That picture above is adorable. (via Rose & Drake)

And below, video of Drake’s intro, which according to my┬áfriend at the show, also sparked legit MVP chants that aren’t quite captured clearly in the video. A few tweets indicate it too and that just makes me happy that New York is embracing Rose (while also thinking in the back of my head that Chicago didn’t fully appreciate him too.)

Anyway, I thought this was cool, but deservedly so, that call out of Hot 97 was the meatier storyline. I kinda shook my head at Ebro and his explanation that the “private convo” with Drake about Eminem was a joke and sure enough, Drake shuts it down. SMH still. That clip, ICYMI, below:

Last Drake tidbit: Seth Rogen picked “Hotline Bling” to Lip Sync Battle Jimmy Fallon last night and when he hit ’em with the dance, I was dying. I’m sure Drake would appreciate this too.
