Hustle Gang‘s Iggy Azalea is keeping it 100 on her music career. The curvy Australian rapper has provided fans with some updates on her delayed sophomore album.
In a new interview, Iggy admitted her recent split from ex-fiancé Nick Young slowed down her music-making.
“I needed a lot of time,” she told PEOPLE on Thursday at the Longines Masters of Los Angeles Gala. “I mean, you wake up one morning and your fiancé is having a baby with someone else, you’re going to need some time, right? … I just kind of felt like, on top of me needing the personal time, then feeling, ‘Okay, I’m single now. I want to have sexy songs. I want to say stuff about being single.’” (PEOPLE)
A few days ago, New York rapper French Montana addressed growing Iggy dating rumors.
“I’m just out here having fun and enjoying life,” French said when congratulated about his relationship with Iggy. “She was always in a relationship so I never really like – kept in contact. … I’m just out here having fun and enjoying my life.” (Hot 97)
Last month, Iggy teased an alleged diamond gift from Montana on social media.
Recently, Iggy hinted at her interest in possibly making French her boyfriend.
“I’m doing single,” Iggy said when asked how she’s doing with the French Montana dating rumors. “I’m single. [Are we together?] No, we’re just friends. … [Scale of 1-10 on chances of us dating?] Above 5.” (TMZ)
