LA Flight Night Alumni Thriving Following Sold-Out Show

Not even a month after LA Flight Night, alumni artists from the show are prospering.  The Los Angeles stop on Kota the Friend’s ‘Flight Night’ music festival was a smashing success.  The show sold out weeks in advance and brought together some of the cities most talented independent musicians. Next up, Flight Night will visit Chicago, and New York City in the summer, where it looks to have a similar effect. Tickets can be purchased at flightnight.com.  Several of the artists featured at LA Flight Night have instantly capitalized on the positive momentum from that night.

Nate Dae

Duval County bred Nate Dae has made big moves since his Flight Night performance.  The Sober Dober rapper shared a photo on Instagram with frequent Kanye West collaborator (producer/engineer) Anthony Kilhoffer in early March.  Just last weekend, he performed at RapTV’s SXSW Rolling Loud in Austin, TX.  There, Dae took the stage alongside Don Toliver, Sheck Wes, Trae Tha Truth and more.  Look for more big moves, and new music soon for Nate Dae in 2022.

Ajna

Los Angeles’ own Ajna has taken a different path following his Flight Night showing. From what we hear, he is polishing off a new album. Last week he unveiled a fire new snippet on social media, accompanied by dope visuals shot by Jaxon Buzell.  Ajna, as always, raps with convincing flow and lyricism. Recently, Ajna’s camp told us to expect a big release in May, with the lead single coming sooner.  Expect a full write up on the new releases as they drop.

JUICEB️X

Juice has also been quite active in the last month, notably announcing that he will be performing alongside New York lyricist Malz Monday (who he grew up with) and frequent collaborator Wes Wax on April 1st.  The show will take place at Los Globos in Los Angeles, and tickets can be purchased here. Additionally, JUICEB☮️X released a beautiful new visual for his track Hanging Vines, which was shot and directed by James I. Austen.

Certainly, Juice sounded juiced discussing his experience at Flight Night: “Things have been great since the Kota show.  I met a lot of amazing people that night who became fans. Craziest thing, I was at Smokin’ Grooves Festival last weekend and a girl came up to me who recognized me from the show.”

Today’s Hip Hop will continue to break news as Flight Night alum from all cities the festival visits continue to blossom.
