Nike steps it up a notch with the praise for Serena Williams
Serena Williams once said that she didn’t want the word “female” thrown around when considering her greatness and what she’s done for tennis and sports in general— regardless of her gender. Looks like Nike agrees with her across the board.
Nike is finishing a billboard located in Brooklyn that proclaims she is the greatest athlete ever. Wall Street Journal writer Jason Gay tweeted out an image of the powerful and bold banner.

Williams is currently in Queens preparing for her opening match in the U.S. Open tonight vs Ekaterina Makarova in the first round. One tournament win will give her 23 career major titles, which is an Open era record for a female singles player. Good luck to the Goat.
