The higher your tax bracket, the more emphasis gets placed on pretentious aspects of human interaction, like proper etiquette. The basics rules of engagement shouldn’t be ignored (how to eat with a knife and fork), but going that extra mile to show you have couth become vital depending on the company you keep.
Who knew that a debate on how to show courtesy could lead to intense arguing between a husband and wife?
On the latest episode of Survivor’s Remorse, Reggie and Missy proved that even good intentions can lead to an argument.
Following the Calloway’s hunting trip with the aristocratic Freeman’s, Missy wanted to know if Reggie sent a thank you note for the invite. Reggie’s thank you’s were verbal to Richard Freeman, and Missy thought an actual Thank You Note, written by hand, was more appropriate.
Missy yearns to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Atlanta elite and wants every impression to be on point. Reggie thinks it’s doing too much. Needless to say, Missy won this battle and the note was written…only Reggie spelled Dihane (yes with a H) Freeman’s name incorrectly. What follows is an Ocean’s 11-esque hunt to re-write the note and get it in the Freeman’s hands before the mailman delivered the first one.
It’s funny that Richard and Reggie vibe over their wives overemphasis of this law of manners. They know that even if THEY don’t care, they better do it, or else. The response note from the Freeman’s was a hilarious reminder that even well mannered interactions can go awry.
While Missy and Reggie worked on their penmanship, M-Chuck finally attends her counseling sessions and what seemed like a step to check off her court mandated rehabilitation turned into a cathartic experience. She vented to her counselor about everything and I mean EVERYTHING that pisses her off, which hilariously could substitute for a series synopsis. The counselor advises M-Chuck to bring Cassie in for these sessions, and Cassie will hear none of it.
