Seems like Rich Homie Quan is still getting some heat after he forgot the words during his performance of the The Notorius B.I.G.ÔÇÖs┬á ÔÇ£Get MoneyÔÇØ song during Hip Hop Honors. HeÔÇÖs been bashed by Biggie fans as social media has created memes and videos poking fun at the unforgettable performance. Lil Kim sheds some light on the matter by publicly thanking Quan on her Instagram for his help during the performance, as well as during her interview on Sway in the Morning to clear the air.
On her Instagram, Kim put up a pic of Quan re-posting his apologetic post with her additional input in her caption.
According to Complex, Lil Kim originally did not want to perform ÔÇ£Get MoneyÔÇØ but decided to as the artists she requested canceled last minute or had prior engagements. Rich Homie Quan decided he would support her and join her during her performance. Kim states, ÔÇ£HeÔÇÖs a friend of mine, and IÔÇÖve known him for a little while,ÔÇØ she says. ÔÇ£HeÔÇÖs always good to meÔǪand he didnÔÇÖt question anything. He just jumped on that plane. And the whole thing was he was coming to f*ck with Lil’ Kim. He was coming to support Lil’ Kim. He did not know at that time that he was going to be performing ÔÇÿGet Money.ÔÇÖ He didnÔÇÖt know that.ÔÇØ
Kim states that during rehearsal Quan knew the words as they rehearsed prior to the show but he became nervous during the performance. She states in her interview, ÔÇ£He was very nervousÔǪ heÔÇÖs such a good person. He was like, ÔÇÿItÔÇÖs an honor that yÔÇÖall would even put me in this position to fill such big shoes.ÔÇÖ” Hopefully Quan stays low as the air clears and everyone forgets about his performance at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors.
