Lil Wayne shook the hip hop world this morning with these tweets strongly hinting at hanging up the mic for the good. Plus, people are just generally concerned about his well-being. Weezy has given the game a lot for 20 years; it goes without saying that the most important thing is he finds a life of piece.

Dear @LilTunechi I just wanna remind you that absolutely nothing and no one in this world can defeat you. Tell them devils back back.

i think people forget that Wayne was a child star and has been rapping for like 20 years.

Whenever I think of Lil Wayne, I think of this anecdote from a longer feature on The Roots. Hope he finds peace. pic.twitter.com/9PHzxF79Tp

I’m in U.S. Open mode so the above one is a timely listen today.

We’ll be hearing from Wayne with his upcoming work with Skip Bayless and yesterday, Drake sent this out, so maybe he’ll have something to say at his next tour stop…?
